Dear Evelyn,
I just flew through your web site.  What an extraordinary body of work!  I, of course, especially loved the animal whimsy, but you're taxing my memory asking me to recall the elephant in a strawberry patch episode from 1979.  I'll give it a bit more thought.  In the meantime, let me simply congratulate you for a lifetime of brilliant creativity and artistic genius, and for making the leap into the internet to share your work. (The Elephant Hiding in a Strawberry Patch is still a hoot -- proving that fine art is, indeed, timeless!).

Regards, Chuck Scarborough

Hi Chuck, A while ago, in May of 1979 to be precise, you and Jack Cafferty closed the show with my Elephant Hiding In A Strawberry Patch in response to the whereabouts of an elusive packaderm reportedly glimpsed, in parts, somewhere in the Bronx or thereabouts. I was delighted to hear, via your letter of thanks to me, that you liked it enough to hang it in your home. Well, this elephant is back, along with several others riding a unicycle on a tightrope and stuffed into a Volkeswagon which were done in the same time period. One point of all this is to ask if you'd have a look at my just created website which is in the form of a retrospective. There are 12 categories containing an alarmingly deversified  lifetime body of work. The Elephants are under the category, Humor. And the other point is to ask you, having worked my way up to the age of 82, if  you would do me the honor of writing a few words about the Strawberry Patch episode of so long ago and the fun we all had with it. I'd like to include anything you'd like to say on my website. I'm still a hard working artist and teacher of children and teens in my home of  77 years. I watch you and Sue every night.  My website is: www.evelynleavens.com.
Sincerely, Evelyn Leavens
